Biography
Paul Faupel is Immediate Past President of INSHPO.
Paul’s career started in 1968, working in smoke obscuration technology and later in toxicology, graduating as a Chartered Biologist in 1975.
Gaining an initial qualification in health and safety in 1979, he moved into full-time employment as a Safety & Health Practitioner in 1980. Paul gained his higher qualification in health and safety in 1982 and was Registered as a Safety Practitioner and made a Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health in 1989.
Following the award of chartered status to IOSH in 2002 and to its members in 2005, Paul was made a Chartered Safety & Health Practitioner.
During his career Paul worked in scientific research and local government organisations, including London Fire & Civil Defence Authority. He retired as County Health & Safety Adviser from Cambridgeshire County Council in March 2007.
Paul’s distinguished service to his profession has been continuous since 1995 and culminated in being appointed President of IOSH in 2000 to 2002 and as first President of INSHPO in 2004 to 2006.
